# AstroBase

> AstroBase is a Web3 3D game studio building fully onchain arcade games that run
> in the browser on the Base network. Games cost 0.00005 ETH (~$0.20) per session,
> scores are recorded onchain, and entry fees fund a weekly jackpot split between
> the top three players.

## How rewards work

Entry fees accumulate in a smart contract on Base. Every week the jackpot is
distributed as 40% to first place, 25% to second, 15% to third, 10% to server and
development costs, with the remaining 10% carried over to the next week. The
weekly podium resets after each distribution; all-time personal bests are kept
permanently onchain.

## Technology

Three.js and React Three Fiber for GPU-accelerated 3D rendering, Next.js for the
application layer, Base for the blockchain layer, wagmi and viem for wallet
interaction. Contracts are open source and verified on BaseScan. Score
submissions are signed server-side with ECDSA.
